Programmable LED
DC Electronic Loads
The M98 series is purpose-built for LED-driver testing. A special internal circuit simulates real LED behaviour, so it works with over 95% of LED drivers on the market — making it the most cost-effective LED electronic load in its class.

The LED test function
An ordinary electronic load in CC or CR mode often can't test an LED driver reliably — many drivers detect that they aren't driving a real LED and shut down or oscillate. The M98's dedicated LED mode uses a special internal circuit to simulate the real voltage–current behaviour of an LED string, so the driver "sees" a genuine LED load and operates normally.
- Simulates real LED forward-voltage and dynamic-resistance behaviour.
- Compatible with capacitance-sensitive LED drivers that trip ordinary loads.
- Steady, stable readings throughout the test.
- One-touch: press Shift + ↑ to enter LED test — a “D” indicator appears on the display.
- Arbitrary waveform editing via the built-in list function.
PC software & automated testing
The M98 uses the same M97 / M98 monitor software as the M97 series. Connect over RS-232 / RS-485 / USB and drive the load from your PC — with live voltage, current and power graphs, automated multi-step test sequences, list/arbitrary waveforms and data logging.
Operating modes
Beyond LED simulation, the M98 offers the same precise standard modes as the M97 series.
